A bespoke scuba diving adventure curated by Zanna for a group of like-minded divers who want to discover the Central Atolls in the Maldives. However, there is an opportunity to complete your advanced certification on board. Read more below.

Before booking, please take a look at the information below on cabin arrangements, passport requirements and prices.

Trip Highlights

  • Up to 17 dives around the Central Atolls in the Maldives, home to manta rays, whale sharks, turtles and incredible coral reefs.
  • Build up your experience diving in locations around North and South Malé, North and South Ari, Rasdhoo and Vaavu Atolls.
  • Dive alongside reef sharks at Maamigili Beru, turtles and stingrays at Lankan Caves and hammerhead sharks at Rasdhoo-Madivaru.
  • Spend a week with like-minded divers who have similar interests, with an opportunity to connect over shared activities and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
  • 8 days full board accommodation on the incredible Blue Voyager liveaboard boat which features a bar, a sky lounge and a hot tub.
  • Experience a Maldivian island visit and then between dives, relax on board on the ocean deck.

There was so much demand for my first diving trip launch that I knew I needed to put together something else for you all, something even bigger! The Maldives is one of my favourite places to dive thanks to its abundant marine life and vibrant corals and I can’t wait to share it with you too.

This itinerary is for the divers who have a little more experience than my Red Sea trip. You will need to be comfortable with currents and we would recommend having logged around 30 dives. However, if you don’t have your Advanced Open Water certification at the time of the trip, you can pay and complete the course on the boat with the team so you can take part in deeper dives between 18 and 30m. So whether you’re looking to dive in a new area or build up your diving experience, I’d love you to join me!

On day one, we’ll embark at Malé airport and be taken to our liveaboard boat, Blue Voyager. We’ll get to know each other over dinner and our first briefing ready to start diving the next day. On our full diving dives, we’ll get to experience up to 3 dives a day and we may even have the opportunity to do a night dive too.

There’s a real mix of dives, but they’re all optional, so you can spend as much or as little time underwater as you please. I recommend taking a look at the full itinerary to see all the dive sites we’ll be visiting.

A typical day on a liveaboard focuses around the all important dives, but there is plenty of downtime in between each one and lots of space on board for you to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Blue Voyager has an outdoor lounge area and four different sun decks for you to chill out and enjoy the Maldivian heat.

On many evenings the floodlights will illuminate the water just to attract plankton which brings the manta rays and whale sharks, which you can view from the ocean deck.

On day 7, you’ll get to enjoy two relaxed morning dives before we head back to the port after lunch the early afternoon. We’ll end with a farewell breakfast the next day, and no doubt reminisce of what a week it’s been!

When you’re planning your journey home, after a week of diving, it’s recommended that you leave 24 hours between your final dive and flying home.

Rooms

We’ll be spending the week on Blue Voyager, an incredible custom-built liveaboard boat. We have 10 twin cabins and 2 doubles available. The trip is open to everyone, whether you want to come as a couple, with a friend or on your own. If you are coming on your own, all twin rooms will be allocated as same-sex rooms. The prices are as follows:

  • Individuals (placed in twin rooms): £2100
  • Double rooms (ideal for couples and friends): £2100 (per person, based on two people sharing)
  • Single occupancy (if you are coming alone but would prefer not to share a twin room, you have the option of paying a single occupancy fee – please note this will one of our two double rooms): £3780

Key information

  • Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the date you arrive in the Maldives.
  • You must have insurance which covers scuba diving activities, including emergency evacuation and recompression chamber costs. We recommend using DAN to arrange this.
  • You must be PADI Open Water certified. We recommend a minimum of 30 logged dives.
  • All the equipment you need is available to hire on the boat, but if you have your own, we recommend 3mm wetsuits. Please let us know in advance of the trip what equipment you would like to hire.
  • We can cater for a wide range of dietary restrictions and requirements.
