This is my personal favourite chocolate recipe I have created. These truffles are the ultimate taste sensation – smooth chocolate and a creamy protein filling – absolutely delicious!
- 100g 85%+ dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- Â½ scoop strawberry protein powder
- Â½ a tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tbsp milk (I recommend unsweetened almond milk)
Melt 50g of the dark chocolate with 1 tbsp coconut oil and half a scoop of chocolate protein powder. Pour a thin layer of this into the bottom of an ice cube tray and pop in the freezer. Once set, mix together the strawberry protein powder, coconut flour and milk into a paste. Plop a teeny bit of this in each mould on top of the chocolate layer. Try and make sure that this is in the centre of the moulds and can be completely covered by the next layer. Then pour over another layer of the chocolate mixture (50g melted dark chocolate, 1 tbsp melted coconut oil and Â½ scoop chocolate protein powder). Put these back in the freezer until set. You can store these in the fridge for 2 weeks.
Top Tip: You can swap the protein powder in the filling for any flavour you like – another favourite of mine is the Optimum Nutrition Caramel Toffee Fudge protein powder!
