Store-bought granola tends to be packed full of refined sugar and unwanted nasties. Making your own means you know exactly what you’re eating.

  • 3 cups gluten free rolled oats
  • 1 cup almonds (whole or chopped)
  • ¼ cup melted coconut oil
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 heaping tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup dried fruit

Preheat the oven to 160c. Mix all the ingredients except the dried fruit, making sure that the oats are coated in the oil and honey. Spread the mixture over a greased baking sheet. Bake for around 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Once cooked through and lightly browned, stir through the fruit and leave to cool. The granola can be kept for up to 3 weeks in an airtight container.
